Beginner Category (Male and Female)
*The categories will be held provided there is a minimum of 8 couples.
Requirements to Play:
- Minimum age 14 years.
- Registration is not permitted for the top 60 in the FCP ranking (Male)
- Registration is not permitted for the top 30 in the FCP (Fem) ranking
- No player may participate in a BPT if they have +10 FIP points.
Tournament format:
The BPT tournaments will have a Group Stage + Knockout format.
All matches in the tournament will be single sets to 9 games (with an 8-8 tiebreak requiring a two-game advantage to break the tie) and with a golden point in each game, except for the groups of 3 pairs who will play to 12 games and the groups of 5 pairs who will play to 6 games. The finals in each category will be two normal sets plus a super tiebreak to 10 games with a two-game advantage to break the tie.
Group Stage Tiebreakers:
If two pairs are tied in wins in the group stage, the head-to-head match between them is taken into account.
If three pairs are tied on wins in the group stage, the difference in games played in all group matches is taken into account. A match won in a tiebreak is counted as 9-8.
If the difference in games between the pairs is equal, the games won in their favor will be taken into account.
In the case of groups of 3 pairs, if there is a tie between the 3 pairs, the difference in games across all sets played will be considered. If a Super Tiebreak is reached, it will count as 1 game for and 0 against for the winning pair.
WO / INJURY of a partner in a match:
In the event that a pair withdraws due to injury or WO during the course of a group, all results against this pair will be counted as 9-6 in their favor, whether or not they played any of their matches.
Teams that qualified for the Group Stage:
The top 2 finishers from each group will qualify.
Category Promotions:
Promotions of couples to a higher category will be assessed by the organizing team based on the level of the couple and their potential fit in the higher category.
Each player will register in the category that corresponds to their skill level. If you have any questions, please feel free to ask us and we will be happy to guide you.
*You can only register for 1 category, so you cannot register for two categories (male/female with mixed).
The Payment:
It will be exclusively ONLINE and the price will be €28 per person if you pay in advance before January 7th at 11:59 pm. From January 8th onwards the price will be €32 per person.
Payment can be made until Wednesday, January 15th at 10:00 AM, which is when we close registrations and start preparing the tournament brackets and schedules. Therefore, if you have not made the online payment before that date and time, you will not be able to participate.
Incidents:
In case of injury, or any other incident that prevents you from playing in the tournament, you will be fully refunded your registration fee, provided that you cancel before the registration and payment closing date and time.
Once the registration and payment period has closed, registration fees are non-refundable under any circumstances. However, we do offer the possibility of finding another person in the same category to take your place. We are very strict about this for the smooth running of the event and the benefit of all participants.
Welcome Pack:
It will consist of products from our partners as well as participation in the raffle and unlimited water.
Loyalty Awards
All players who participate in a minimum of 7 events during the 2025 season will receive, as a loyalty reward, 50% of the registration fees for all events of the Barcelona Padel Tour Xpress by Nacex 2026.
A huge live online raffle (Instagram: @barcelonapadeltour) will be held on Thursday, January 16th at 10 PM. You can claim your prize before your first match. We hope you enjoy this new feature.
